Vacations!
Julia has had an exciting last few weeks. She got to go on two vacations back-to-back at two different beaches! Throughout it all, she got to see all her Aunts, Uncles and grandparents. Here are the highlights:
June 23: Got up at 4am to drive to North Carolina. Spent the week with the Coopers. Got into the huge waves with Mom and Dad and even got flipped over by one. (this was the closest camera shot we got!) Water was warm and fun. Sand tastes good. Learned to spit the salt water out of mouth. Now spits food out in the same manner.
June 29: Left at bedtime for New Jersey. Slept almost the whole way. Mom and Dad did not.
July 1: After a day of rest and laundry, went to Connecticut to visit Vennells. Went on a hike to see a waterfall. Went swimming in ocean again. Water was much colder but no less fun. Learned to walk behind rolling toys and while holding adults' hands.
July 4: Celebrated Independence Day by standing unassisted for the first time. (First steps must be imminent...)
July 6: One year old! (You already read about that). Drove back to New Jersey to play with new toys.
June 22: Left Dumont for Maryland to stay with Aunt Nicole and Uncle Brian. Played with Bella the dog and with this huge blue ball.

Great to see the cutie last week — and go, Julia, go, on the walking. I bet she'll do it any day now!

It was great seeing all of you at the beach. I loved meeting your adorable little girl. Happy first Birthday Julia!!
